Rong Chhun, President of the Cambodia Independent Teachers’ Association (CITA), said on Sunday that he wants to show the film “Who Killed Chea Vichea” at the Freedom Park which was recently inaugurated. He wants the people to know who killed Chea Vichea and he wants the government to investigate this case to uncover the killers and their group so that they may be brought to face justice because, up to now, these assassins have not been found yet. Rong Chhun said that he will inform the city hall on Wednesday. Pa Socheatvong, the CPP deputy governor, said that to show this film, it is necessary that there is a prior agreement from the ministry of Culture and Fine Arts first. He said that if the show is done without such agreement, then no authorization will be given and those involved in the showing will be responsible for it. It should be noted that the Phnom Penh city authority had prevented Rong Chhun from showing the movie once already on 01 May 2010.
