Kampong Cham – During his visit to Kampong Cham province on 04 December, Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh announced to former Funcinpec party members that he will return back to politics.
The prince made this announcement when he visited former Funcinpec party members in Kampong Cham province. His words came as several people are waiting to see his final position.
Krom Preah indicated that he wants to return to help rebuild the country with the Cambodian people. Nevertheless, the prince said that he will neither be part of the opposition nor the ruling party, but that he wants to be part of the government to be able to rebuild the country better.
Krom Preah criticized the Funcinpec party led by Keo Puth Rasmey [, the prince’s own brother-in-law] and Nhiek Bun Chhay, saying that they have no ability to win the general election in 2013. This is why the prince returns back to politics again with the aim of uniting the royalists in Cambodia.
