Up to now, the public wants to know opposition leader Sam Rainsy’s action to serve the Cambodian people during his absence from Cambodia.

During the past 6 months, opposition leader Sam Rainsy, President of the Sam Rainsy party, fled overseas after the Svay Rieng provincial court sentenced him in absentia at the beginning of August 2010 to 2-year of jail time and fined him close to 60 million riels (~$15,000) after charging him with uprooting of border stakes between Cambodia and Vietnam in October 2009.

Later on, the Phnom Penh municipal court added an additional 10-year jail sentence on Sam Rainsy after accusing him of falsification of documents when he produced Cambodia’s border maps displayed by Google.
